Our Sparkling Mango energy drink contains really mango pulp to give it a sweet, aromatic, bubbly flavour. But also contains Taurine (made from vegetarian sources), Glucuronolactone, Caffeine to increase concentration and reaction speeds.

What is Taurine?

Taurine is a non-essential amino acid which is already found naturally occuring within the human body. The term “non-essential” is used since during certain conditions, it is not found e.g. at times of extreme physical exertion, the body no longer produces the required amounts of taurine, which results in a relative deficiency. Hence putting it back is beneficial. The real question is what does taurine do?

Taurine is used to help absorb fats and fat-soluble vitamins as well as to regulate the heart beat, maintain cell membrane stability, and prevent brain cell over-activity. It is also believed to be useful in protecting against congestive heart failure. Furthermore, Taurine possesses antioxidant activity and offers detoxifying activities by binding with harmful substances and accelerating their excretion.

What is Glucuronolactone?

Glucuronolactone is a carbohydrate and is a naturally occurring chemical compound produced by the metabolism of glucose in the human liver. Hence again, it is helpful in the detoxification process and providing energy

What is Caffeine?

As you are probably aware, Caffeine is a stimulant, which s known for its beneficial effects on Mental and physical functions. Caffeine increases metabolism by stimulating the nervous system and is known to help increase concentration and reaction speeds. Caffeine also drags fatty acids out of fat cells, leading to the burning of body fat and a more efficient use of energy. One can of Suncrest contains approximately the same amount of caffeine as one cup of coffee.
